Junior Year: Comprehensive College Admissions Preparation

  • Review all elements pertinent to college admissions and preparation.
  • Update student resume (brag sheet). Explore potential future elements.
  • Update comprehensive strategic plan.
  • Update four-year plan. Maintain challenging curriculum.
  • Review and adjust junior year coursework.
  • Develop and expand relationships with teachers, counselors and mentors.
  • Determine senior year coursework.
  • Meet with college representatives.
  • Schedule and take the PSAT.
  • Schedule and take SAT and/or ACT.
  • Prepare for and take SAT Subject Tests.
  • Prepare for and take AP exams.
  • Consider the potential in a retake of the SAT and/or ACT.
  • Make further progress toward a final college selection list.
  • Complete critical thinking enhancement activities.
  • Complete vocabulary empowerment activities.
